Sylvia Rose is a half-year old!

Yes, that's right. It's been 6 months! And she's such a sweetheart!! She smiles and coos and plays. Sometimes (pretty often, actually) she even plays quietly on one of our laps while we work or eat. She's such a good baby!

We took some home measurements of the typical growth stats. According to our estimates, she weighs 15 pounds, 13 ounces; she is 25 inches long; and her head circumference is 17 inches.

Since last month, her "solid" food repertoire has increased from just bananas & apples to include pears & sweet potatoes. She usually has one "solid" meal a day.

She did start rolling over from her tummy to her back again, but usually she just wobbles around, trying to pull her feet under herself. She isn't rolling over from her back to her tummy (...well, she may have done it once...), but she does sometimes make it half way.

With minor help stabilizing herself, Sylvia can usually sit indefinitely. Without any stabilization aids, she can sometimes sit for a minute or two:

I'll try to sort through some recent pictures & videos to post soon! And I'll post a progress report when Sylvia has her 6-month checkup in 2 weeks.
